'Go Fish ENC' is the name I chose to capture what I love to do and where I love to do it. North Carolina's Pamlico Sound and rivers connecting it to the many Basins (including the Neuse River Basin) is one of the most unique fisheries on the Eastern Seaboard. A person can take a boat from New Bern to beyond Ocrakoke Island, fish in the Gulf Stream, and be back home in the brackish water of the Neuse River in the same day; it is a long day, but it illustrates how diverse the ecosystem is and the many fishing opportunities offered by what is a true gift. The name 'Go Fish ENC' also represents a message that I believe is important in conserving one of North Carolina's greatest resources , and that is the notion that the more people who can enjoy this fishery, the more robust it will become and remain as such for years to come.
Where I fish: In a broad stroke, I fish inshore from Swan Quarter to New Bern, NC. Time of year, species, and weather determine where my focus is.
What I fish for: I mainly target Speckled Trout year around, but also take advantage of the other major species such as red fish, flounder and striper when the opportunity is the best; for a good portion of the year all of these species overlap, but there are definitely prime months for a particular fish.

Hard to forget that fish. It went after a Zara Spook as hard as any fish I've ever seen.
